The voting for identifying the key 10 priorities on the Dialogue on Decent Work in Rio is going to end this Sunday. We realized that there was no proposal for ensuring Decent Work for all and Social Protection for all. We need you to express support to these ideas. The process might take about 10 minutes of your time. Here are the instructions:
To vote, please, go to https://www.riodialogues.org
If you have not registered in this website before, in the “Request Invite” box on the right hand site enter your email address and the code shown underneath. You will receive an e-mail that you need to confirm. Then you can set up your account with Rio+20 platform.
When you finish your account set-up you will enter the Rio+20 dialogues page. On the left top of the page in the window marked by “Search teamworks” enter decentwork and hit Enter. Support the two proposals there:
-* 1. Governments to commit to a Decent Work for all goal by 2030 (including targets for eliminating working poverty, reducing unemployment, growing green jobs and ensuring gender equity)
- 2. Governments to commit to a Social Protection for all goal by 2030 (at least at the level of social protection floors, including basic guarantees: access to health services, income security when facing unemployment, ill health, maternity, child-rearing, disability and old age)
There are also other proposals which you might be willing to support. Here are the links:
- I recommend the ban of Asbestos in any form and in the prodution of this carcinogen into the world population
- Set national goals for green jobs based on assessments in terms of current and potential value , gender dimension, working conditions and other aspects of the decent work agenda
- Create a tax on international financial transactions destined to a Green Fund in charge of creating decent jobs and clean tecnologies
- Ensure all jobs are healthy jobs
